A short guide to how Legal AI works, how we handle your data, and how billing is structured. If something is missing, tell us in a demo.

General

  • Legal AI is our platform that connects in-house teams with vetted lawyers and advisors and layers AI on top of case management, document analysis, and billing — so legal work happens on one shared record instead of scattered across email threads and spreadsheets.

  • Start by creating a case: describe the matter, upload any relevant documents, and either invite an advisor you already work with or let us match you with one. From there the shared case record becomes the single source of truth for that matter.

  • Legal AI is built for two audiences: in-house legal teams that coordinate outside counsel, and independent lawyers or advisors who deliver client work. Both sides share the same case record, with role-based visibility for each.

  • Request a demo and we will walk you through the platform, help you set up your workspace, and import your first cases. Onboarding for a standard team typically takes less than a week.

  • Yes — you can start on a free plan that includes a limited number of cases and core AI features, so you can validate the workflow with your team before upgrading.

Functionality

  • Upload a contract and the AI extracts key clauses, obligations, deadlines, and risk flags. It cites the specific passages it relied on, so any conclusion can be traced back to the source text — no black-box summaries.

  • Yes. Paid plans let you choose between models optimized for speed and models optimized for depth of reasoning. You can switch per case or set a workspace default.

  • No. The AI is grounded in current legal databases and always cites the source of any ruling or provision it references. If a query cannot be answered from verified sources, it says so instead of fabricating a citation.

  • Templates are reusable document structures with variables the AI fills in from the case record. You can start from our library or upload your own — the platform learns your firm’s house style over time.

  • A client workspace is an isolated area for a single client’s cases, documents, and team members. Access is role-based, so advisors, in-house counsel, and business stakeholders only see what applies to them.

  • The platform handles PDF, DOCX, DOC, RTF, TXT, and common image formats (PNG, JPG). Scanned documents are OCR’d automatically so the AI can read them just like native text.

Security

  • All data is stored in EU-based data centers with encryption at rest and in transit. We do not move client data outside the EU without your explicit consent.

  • Yes. We are fully GDPR compliant, sign a Data Processing Agreement with every customer, and support standard data subject requests (access, export, deletion) from the workspace admin panel.

  • Only people you explicitly invite to a case. Access is role-based and every open, download, and edit is recorded in an immutable audit trail. Our staff cannot read your documents without your written authorization for a specific support ticket.

Billing

  • We offer a free plan for evaluation, a per-seat subscription for teams that use the platform continuously, and per-case billing for occasional or one-off matters. All plans include the core AI features; higher tiers unlock advanced models and larger case volumes.

  • Any workspace admin can upgrade from the Billing section in settings. The change takes effect immediately — new features unlock the moment payment is confirmed.

  • Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Upgrades are prorated for the current billing period; downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you keep access to what you paid for.
